Hundreds of families each year are helped by Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mid-Missouri. With a small full-time staff, we are dependent on volunteers who are compassionate, dedicated, and sensitive to the needs of our families. Individuals or groups can enjoy fun and rewarding experiences by volunteering their time and talents.

Volunteer Weekly at the House
We rely on volunteers to keep our House clean and inviting. Housekeeping volunteers support our families by performing light housekeeping and providing general hospitality to families. Front-desk volunteers help to greet visitors, take and document donations, and answer the phone. Occasionally they will also write thank you notes and do other administrative tasks as needed.
Volunteer as a Group
Volunteering as a group is a great way to connect with others while making a difference and having fun! Groups can provide a meal, host a fundraiser or supply drive, help with quarterly house cleaning, volunteer at a special event, and more.
Every Friday morning from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., we need a group of 6-8 volunteers to assemble 50-75 sack lunches in the Ronald McDonald House kitchen. These lunches are part of a new program called “Lunch on the House.” The new program aims to alleviate some of the emotional and financial stress that families face while having a child in the hospital. Whether they are unable to leave their child’s bedside or don’t have the funds for an extra meal, “Lunch on the House” will provide them with something to eat and allow them to give their full attention to their child.
