Terri Gray has served as Executive Director of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mid-Missouri since 2013, providing overall leadership and vision to the organization. She is responsible for the organization’s consistent achievement of its mission and financial objectives and works closely with the Board of Directors and the national RMHC organization. Terri has extensive experience in non-profit management, fundraising and marketing; she is project-oriented and enjoys developing solutions to challenging problems. She is passionate about serving those in need, helping to improve their short- and long-term circumstances, and working at RMHC allows her to continually make an impact in the lives of others. Outside of work, Terri enjoys traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Ashlee Smith serves as the Senior Director of Philanthropy. She oversees the Development, Events and Marketing Team, with a focus on stewardship, relationship building, community outreach, and caring for the generous donors to RMHC Mid-Missouri. Prior to working for RMHC, Ashlee worked for 11 years in Donor Relations at the University of Missouri. In her ten years with RMHC Mid-Missouri, she is grateful each day to serve so many wonderful families when they truly need it most.

Amanda is responsible for providing direction and support for the operation of the Ronald McDonald House, Ronald McDonald Family Room, and RMHC volunteer program. Amanda was an active volunteer for RMHC for four years and was thrilled by the opportunity to serve the families full-time. 

Outside of her role at RMHC, Amanda is an avid reader, loves to cook, travel and spend time with her family. 

Steffanee Richardson serves as Director of Development. She is responsible for securing financial support for RMHC programs, ongoing operations, and capital campaign. Steffanee will also serve has liaison to McDonald’s owner/operators and managers. The most rewarding aspect of her job is having the opportunity to give back to the organization that once supported her family during a time of need. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and outdoor activities.

Heather Westenhaver serves as our Director of Finance and Operations. She oversees the financial operations and planning for the House and is the main point of contact for matters involving IT, payroll, and employee benefits information. Her favorite thing about the Ronald McDonald House is getting to see the amazing ways our community continually comes together to support families who have children receiving medical care. When not at work, Heather is a wife and mom who loves to travel, read, relax at the lake, and spend time with friends and family.

Jessi was born and raised in Columbia, graduated from MU with a degree in Psychology and then spent 12 years in Austin, TX before moving back with her husband and two kids to be closer to family. She has more than 15 years of event planning experience and is responsible for coordinating the fundraising events for RMHC of Mid-Missouri. When she isn’t at work, Jessi enjoys being creative, spending time with family and doing CrossFit at the gym she and her husband own.

The Director of House Operations is responsible for assisting and providing excellent customer service to guests staying at the Ronald McDonald House.

Alex is the Volunteer Manager at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Mid-Missouri, a role he has held since 2024. In this capacity, Alex is responsible for overseeing volunteer coordination, ensuring that the meal calendar and the Lunch on the House program run smoothly. He manages scheduling and communication for volunteers across various positions within the House, Family Room, and Events.

A key part of his responsibilities includes recruiting, training, and retaining volunteers, something Alex takes great pride in. He’s not just passionate about helping others; he’s also a dedicated volunteer himself in his free time. His commitment to service extends beyond his professional role, and he finds deep fulfillment in supporting others who want to give back.

Outside of work, Alex enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two daughters. An outdoor enthusiast, he finds peace in nature, often going for runs and practicing meditation to stay grounded. When he’s not outdoors, Alex enjoys reading and listening to music—two passions that help him unwind and stay connected to his creative side.

America Perez is responsible for keeping the Ronald McDonald Family Room operating efficiently while ensuring a warm and welcoming environment for families. Her favorite part is getting to see the smiles and relief on the families faces as they find comfort and respite in our carefully curated Family Room. America is passionate about providing excellent customer service to the families we serve. Outside of work she enjoys running and spending time with family.

Jacob Summerville serves as the Marketing Manager. His role includes implementing RMHC’s communication strategy, maintaining and updating social media and web sites, coordinating newsletter development, and managing print mailings and marketing materials. Prior to RMHC, Jacob’s work involved editorial and media management, photography, journalism, and logistics, and he most previously worked at the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia in Lincoln, NE. He is truly grateful to be working for an organization that alleviates stress felt by families, remembering when his family needed to travel for his brother for early childhood medical care. In his spare time, Jacob enjoys exercise, reading, writing music and prose, cooking, and baking.

Mimi Curtis serves as the Donor Relations Coordinator. Her role includes thanking and acknowledging donors and documenting all donations for RMHC-MM mission programs (the Ronald McDonald House, the Ronald McDonald Family Room, and the Lunch on the House program) and Signature Events. Prior to moving into her Donor Relations role, Mimi taught elementary school while volunteering at the House from 2004 to 2006 and served as the part-time evening/weekend manager from 2007 to 2019. Mimi is humbled by the generously supportive donors, incredibly strong families, and caring, compassionate staff that comprise the RMHC-MM family. She believes being part of this family is good for the heart, mind, and soul. Outside of RMHC, Mimi cherishes every moment spent with her grandchildren and family.
