At Ronald McDonald House® Mid-Missouri, we provides essential services that remove barriers, strengthen families, and promote healing when children need healthcare – at no cost to them.
Our House is built on the simple idea that families with ill children shouldn’t worry about where to sleep or where they will get their next meal. We try to make their new normal as normal as can be.
The Mid-Missouri Ronald McDonald House is located at 1110 S. College Avenue in Columbia, Missouri. Staff is on site at the House 24/7/365 to help families feel at home, assist them as needed, and shuttle families to and from medical facilities. Guests are welcomed to comfortable beds, hot dinners served daily, laundry facilities, fitness center and free WIFI to help provide a a sense of normalcy during their stay, all at no cost to them.
Stay With UsEach guestroom has two queen beds and a private bathroom. The House provides you with comfortable sleeping accommodations, hot meals every evening, a free laundry facility, an exercise facility, areas to relax, play and spend time with other families in similar medical situations. The House welcomes families regardless of income, race, religion, nationality, gender, or abilities.
Located in the MU Health Care Children’s Hospital, the restorative space includes a living room area, kitchenette with food and snacks, laundry and shower facilities, and comfortable areas to watch TV, rest and prepare for any medical challenges ahead with their child. In addition, there are two private guest sleeping rooms located just outside of the Family Room.
Volunteers prepare hot, homecooked dinners for families after an exhausting day at the hospital. The Provide a Meal program allows families staying at the Ronald McDonald House enjoy a freshly-prepared dinner while they are away from home.
Lunch on the House supports families with hospitalized children by providing lunches to the neonatal and pediatric units of MU Health Care Children’s Hospital, Boone Hospital, and the Thompson Center for Autism and Neurodevelopment. Having these free lunches five times per week allow parents to be with their children and not worry about the cost of another meal.
